Illuminating the Past to Protect the Future
There is one promise that every Jew must keep and the one commitment that every Jew has made - knowingly or not. It is the promise made to our parents, to our grandparents, and to all of mankind. It is the promise to never forget.
Holocaust remembrance can only occur through continuous and widespread Holocaust education. The NHEF (National Holocaust Endowment Fund) provides funding for Holocaust education to the University of Nebraska, Creighton University, and Wayne State College.
Together with the Jewish Motorcyclists Alliance’s annual Ride to Remember (JMA), our efforts will provide a curriculum of Holocaust Education to these young men and women that will assure that remembrance transcends the generations. We are helping to assure that tomorrow’s leaders understand the horrors of genocide and the terrible consequences of indifference. Holocaust education, in today’s world, may be more relevant than ever before. We must not only remember the horrors of our past, but do what we can to stop the genocides of tomorrow.
About the JMA
The Jewish Motorcyclists Alliance is an international organization currently comprised of 21 Jewish motorcycle clubs with more than 2,000 individual members. With member clubs extending from Israel to Australia, the JMA provides an environment whereby members of the Jewish faith who ride motorcycles can congregate to share and exchange ideas and opinions about matters of concern to the Jewish community at large, as well as issues specifically concerning motorcycles and motorcycle riding. The JMA is an umbrella organization whose affiliate clubs consist of official, organized motorcycle riding clubs. The common thread is our religion; however membership or admittance to its member clubs is not dictated by faith, degree of observance or brand of motorcycle.
This event is open to ALL Jewish bikers, affiliated with a member club or not.
